Sonikî: 12-Tone Etude

A piece of mine for Violin, Horn and Piano which is written by applying only 12-tone technique rules. There are some mistakes in this performance but it represents the general structure of the composition.

Program Note:
“The composer’s piece called Sonikî, different than his previous works, is a composition that is written in twelve-tone technique. In this work he experiences musical possibilities of serial music by implementing an inversionally symmetrical serie in harmonic and melodic fields. He named the piece with an absurd wordplay in Turkish as Sonikî (the last twelve-ish) because he believes that this piece is going to be the last piece that he’s ever going to write by purely using twelve-tone tecnique.”
